“Le pouvoir de faire littéralement vivre ses dessins.”
Pascale Hecquet is born in Charleroi – Belgium. She can finally draw all day when she starts her studies at the Academy of fine arts of Tournai (after six years of patience in a general latin-languages school).
What she prefers are the quick lay drawings that give very expressive sketches.
She often use now a digital pencil. But she keeps the fast movement and the artisanal line of the traditional brush.
Pascale Loves : cartoon’s direction (she literally can give life to her drawings), read comic books (while drinking hot chocolate), sketching on vacation, discover a very creative movie, …
She hates : drawings made with a square layout tool, very bad movies, people who calls you at 8.00 am on a Sunday morning, the perfect digital gradients,…
Pascale directed 7 animation shorts. Many of them were awarded and are regularly programmed on television and in the cinema. She also published three youth books. She dreams to make a comic book (one day!)
And when someone doesn’t understand that she is (always) right, she seriously think to put her arguments on a storytelling video. Because there is no better way to explain something!
